The cheapest erectile dysfunction (ED) pills are generic Viagra, called.
The term "generic" refers to the active ingredient of a medicine or drug rather than to the advertised brand name under which the medicine is sold. It is a term referring to any drug marketed under its chemical name without advertising.
Pfizer made the originaltablet that is often referred to as the “blue pill”.The patent expired in 2013 which then allowed other pharmaceutical manufactures to make a generic version under the name of the active ingredient called Sildenafil. They are exactly the same medically and perform in the same way with the same side-effects.
As with most branded products, Viagra is sold at a higher price, therefore the generic tablets sold asare much cheaper.
Medically there is no difference between a generic medicine and the branded medicine, as they both have the same active ingredients to make them perform in the same way. They only differ in the “bulking” agents used to fill the tablet as the amount of active ingredient required, in this case Sildenafil, is very small. This makes the tablets bigger and easier to handle.
The main difference between generic andbranded named prescription medicines is cost with generics being much cheaper
Every pharmacy can choose what price they sell at, as there are no fixed prices. It will depend on what price the pharmacy can buy the drug from the wholesaler and the cost of their own overheads. They can they decide what mark-up they require and some pharmacies choose to sell some products at higher prices.

All pharmacies using a UK General Medical Council, to prescribe their medicines will also be registered with the UK government Agency the Care Quality Commission (CQC).
Those online pharmacies who are not registered with the CQC either use pharmacist prescribers or foreign doctors.
You will then know and have the confidence that all the brands being offered are genuine and will work in the same way. All the pharmaceutical companies are inspected by the Medicines and Healthcare products Regulatory Agency (MHRA) to ensure they manufacturer the drugs to the same quality standard. This means that the key ingredient that is referred to as the “active” ingredient is exactly the same in all brands.
The other inactive ingredients that make up the bulk of the tablet are called “excipients” and can vary.
For those people who are allergic to or have an intolerance to lactose, then the is ideal for you as it is lactose free. You can check the additional excipients on the patient information leaflet supplied with your tablets.
Although medically all the generic tablets are identical, they may look different as they can vary in colour, shape and size due to the varying excipients.
The patent for, owned by Pfizer, expired in July 2013, which then allowed other pharmaceutical companies to produce generic. There are a number of companies now manufacturing which include Accord, Ajanta, Dr Reddy’s, Mylan, Teva, Torrent and Zentiva. Even Pfizer make a that they sell cheaper than Viagra although generally more expensive than the equivalent generic brands.

Pfizer Inc. said Monday it is cutting a Pfizer drug called Viagra to reduce the cost of the erectile dysfunction drug sildenafil to avoid a generic competition. The company said the decision comes as Pfizer Inc. faces growing competition from generics that it said could lower the price of its blockbuster drug.
The decision follows a by a U. S. Food and Drug Administration panel last month that recommended the drug be used instead of a generic version. The panel's recommendations come after studies showed that the pill, which is already available as a tablet, can lead to serious side effects such as heart attack and stroke.
Viagra, the brand-name version of Pfizer's drug, has been available in generic form since 1998 and has been sold through several websites since 2007. It was first launched on the Internet in 2003. Since then, Pfizer has sold the drug in 25 countries and countries around the world and is one of the world's leading pharmaceutical companies.
"Pfizer continues to pursue new uses for its generic Viagra," said Dr. Ian Read, Pfizer's chairman and chief executive. "However, there are concerns that generic competition could result in significant price increases for the drug."
Generic competition, with a small price difference, could pose a challenge for Pfizer, Dr. Read said.
"The generic competition is a major concern for Pfizer and it's a major challenge," he said.
Pfizer, which has cut prices of two drugs for its impotence drug Viagra and its other erectile dysfunction treatments, said its cost will remain unchanged. The drug could be sold in generic form to rival the blockbuster drugs Cialis and Levitra. Viagra is the drug behind Cialis, while Levitra is a rival.
Viagra is available as a generic tablet and is being sold as a liquid, Read said. The pill costs roughly $60 a month, and some generic versions of the drug are available at a more modest cost. Pfizer has not yet announced whether it will offer a generic version of the pill at all.
"Pfizer continues to pursue new uses for its generic Viagra," Read said.
The company said its decision comes after studies showed that the pill led to serious side effects such as heart attack and stroke. These have been known to include heart attacks and strokes, which patients have reported to the U. health care system.
In a statement, Pfizer said: "The decision by Pfizer Inc. to cut the price of Viagra and its other erectile dysfunction drugs will help improve the lives of millions of men suffering from erectile dysfunction by making it easier for them to obtain and use the medication. As the pharmaceutical industry continues to innovate, the decision to cut the price of Viagra and its other erectile dysfunction drugs will take effect in a few years, and Pfizer is committed to making this change a reality for all men who choose Viagra as their treatment option."
The decision follows a review of the scientific evidence and the FDA's final decision to remove a number of Viagra-branded drugs from the market.
Pfizer's current patent on Viagra has expired, meaning Pfizer has had to license the drug from a company that markets the drug.
It will be up to the FDA to decide whether the drugs should be removed, Pfizer said. The FDA has not given a decision on Viagra's removal, but the company has told doctors it can advise them on the risks and benefits of Viagra and its alternatives.
In a statement, Pfizer said: "The FDA has repeatedly rejected applications for applications for generic applications of Viagra and its other erectile dysfunction drugs because the products are both approved for the treatment of ED and have not been shown to have any negative effects on patients.
"Patients who have been prescribed Viagra should immediately consult with their healthcare provider to determine if the medicine is appropriate for them.
"If the medicine is deemed to be appropriate, it should be discontinued and the patient's insurance company covering the cost should be contacted immediately.
"While the FDA has not placed an exact date on the decision to remove Viagra, physicians should be able to determine the date of removal and the overall timeline for the removal of the medicine from the market, including any potential regulatory delays."
Pfizer said it will continue to make changes to its price guidance for Viagra and other erectile dysfunction drugs and will update the company's guidance to reflect that information.
Pfizer said it has not named companies affected by the decision and that it is not making any changes to the company's price guidance for Viagra.

Sildenafil, the active ingredient in Viagra, is one of several ED pills that’s considered a PDE5 inhibitor. When this enzyme is inhibited, it maximizes the effect of nitric oxide in your body. (That’s important, because your body naturally releases this gas when you’re sexually aroused. So it’s key to the process of getting and maintaining an erection.)
With more nitric oxide in play, the muscles around your penis can relax. In turn, blood flow to your penis improves. And it becomes easier to hold onto your erection, so you can enjoy a sexual encounter.
Sildenafil also works quickly. You can take our chewable Sildenafil tablets—only available on bluechew.com—about one hour before sex. Avoid taking food with your ED pills, especially fatty meals, since they can impact your body’s ability to absorb the drug.
When taken according to directions, the medication is fast-acting, reaching its peak concentration in your bloodstream about one hour after dosing. Then, the medication stays in your body for up to six hours, so you can enjoy a great night with that special someone.
